After their surprise wedding in Vegas, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck left for Paris for their honeymoon. While the couple enjoyed strolling the cobbled streets of the romantic city, we almost felt like we were enjoying the trip too, thanks mostly to a slew of paparazzi photos of the couple. But between the two celebs, Affleck was apparently not at all a fan of the prying cameras that followed him and his new wife wherever they went.
“Ben was a little freaked out in Paris. It was a whole new level,” a source shared with Page Six of the number of cameras Affleck and Lopez saw each time they set foot outside their luxury Paris hotel. The insider even called it “almost Princess-Diana level” of scrutiny.

“Ben is used to flashing lights,” the source noted, “but he felt the honeymoon was a tsunami. Jen is made of steel and knows that comes with the territory. [but] he’s still pissed off. Honestly, we really can’t blame Affleck for feeling incredibly uncomfortable around the paparazzi, especially given the couple’s own history with ubiquitous media attention.
In the early years, during the days of Bennifer 1.0, Affleck really struggled with the level of attention he and his then-fiancée faced. This apparently contributed to their engagement ending in January 2004. These days, however, the couple are incredibly reluctant to divulge any details about their life together – save for a few social media posts on Instagram and sweet anecdotes in interviews. But they’ve definitely learned to navigate this “tsunami” of attention this time around. As the source noted, J.Lo is used to this kind of scrutiny, and the couple have been through this before. This time around, we hope they can be there to support each other and hold their own while the cameras flash.
