In a new interview with David Slavković of Ultimate Guitar, Adam “Nergal” Darski, the Polish singer extreme metal bandaged Monster, spoke about the current state of the music industry and congratulated the American singer Billie eilish because of its success.
Ultimate Guitar interviewer David spoke about some of the important changes rock and metal music has experienced over the past decade. He also mentions that the definition of certain genres has changed and that names such as Billie eilish and imagine Dragons are labeled as Alternative rock the music. Nergal said:
“Honestly, I don’t know a man,” he said. “I can respect this Billie eilish Is. There are new bands that seem exciting, like Greta Van Fleet. They are among those artists who should grow up. And why not? Even if they face many accusations of scam and shit. But I say to myself “seriously?”
“I mean, we all like to rob each other. Fuck, relax people. It’s cool to see teenagers growing up and becoming talented. I’m really digging this. “
Nergal said ticket sales for shows are increasing more and more.
“What if … let’s say, record sales are going down, however, ticket sales for shows are increasing for all artists. For us, they grow, [Iron] Maiden is the biggest crude ever. For Guns N ’Roses – the biggest gross ever made. For Rammstein – the biggest crude ever made.
“So I don’t think it’s so bad that some people are trying to present it.”
