Bayern Munich and Man United have faced each other numerous times in the UEFA Champions League and each time it has not been a game that has let the neutrals down.
There were five draws, four Bayern wins and only two Man United wins.
These two last faced each other at UCL in the quarter-finals in April 2014.
Bayern came back from 1-0 down, after conceding to Patrice Evra in the 57th minute to win 3-1 thanks to goals from Mario Mandzukic two minutes later, Thomas Muller and Arjen Robben.
This was when Pep Guardiola was managing the Bundesliga side and they completed this huge comeback by scoring three goals in just 17 minutes to shock United.
This time around the situation might be slightly different in the group stage, but United have been well below average recently and look prone to a big defeat if Bayern live up to their usual high standard in this competition.
Harry Kane signed late in the transfer window for the German side and has already scored four goals in just four league appearances for Bayern while continuing to be in fine form for the Three Lions in EURO qualifying this this month.
A return against a Premier League side should give him the edge over most attackers and, in particular, his goalscoring record makes him highly likely to score against the Red Devils.
These two teams often see a lot of corners in their games this season alone, whether for or against.
In Bayern’s last three matches, they have seen a total of 41 corners, 32 of which they won themselves.
Man United won eight corners against Brighton in their 3-1 defeat to the Seagulls at the weekend, but conceded as many as 12 against Arsenal in another 3-1 defeat – making any corner market very tempting during this Champions League clash.
