Kane was appointed by Bayern for pre-match media duties yesterday and the ‘rivalry’ between him and Arsenal was discussed.
“For me personally, I think it’s something that was probably built more from the outside, from the media, from the fans, rather than from myself,” he said. “Of course I have a lot of history with Arsenal, I played for Spurs for many years, the north London derby was probably the biggest game of the season every year in the Premier League.
“But for me here it’s a different chapter, it’s a different time for me, I’m playing for a different team. My goal is to try and beat a very good team in Arsenal.
“Of course I know there will be a lot of Spurs fans tomorrow, hoping Bayern qualify, but I can’t focus on that. All I can do is try to beat the team in front of us, and that’s Arsenal.
