Barcelona vs PSG LIVE: Champions League score and updates as Dembele closes gap after Raphinha goal – The Independent

Write them at your own risk – Haaland, Mbappe and Bellingham will play at UCL, says Ancelotti

Barcelona host Paris Saint-Germain with a place in the Champions League semi-finals on the line after a thrilling first leg in France last week. Barcelona will take a one-goal lead heading into the quarter-final second leg after Andreas Christensen’s header completed a remarkable 3-2 win in Paris.

It was a night to forget for Kylian Mbappe, but the PSG striker scored a stunning hat-trick at the Camp Nou during his previous visit to Barcelona three years ago and the French star will need to be back at his best if the visitors want to keep their Champions League dream alive.

It has been five years since Barcelona last reached the Champions League semi-finals, but Xavi will look to finish the job against former boss Luis Enrique when he returns to Spain. Barcelona are unbeaten in all competitions since Xavi announced he would leave the club at the end of the season.

An action-packed halftime comes to an end and it’s business as usual. Raphinha had the hosts in the lead after 12 minutes, but the game turned when Araujo was sent off after a last-man tackle on Barcola.

PSG were the better team and got the deserved equalizer after 40 minutes after Dembélé struck at the far post.

AIM! Barcelona 1-1 PSG (Dembele, 40 min – 4-3 overall)

Dembélé takes PSG to the level! Barcola’s low ball across the box evades everyone in the middle, but the Frenchman is there to hit it at the far post.

PSG equalizes that evening and is only one down in total. We can’t say they don’t deserve that.

A small scuffle after the goal saw Martinez and Mbappe both receive yellow cards.

Barcelona 1-0 PSG (4-2 overall)

34 minutes: Unsurprisingly, Barça makes a defensive change after this red. Yamal, who created so well in his first game, is sacrificed as Martinez comes in at central defense.
