Margot Robbie was seen filming scenes for the upcoming Barbie movie on Wednesday as she continued to work on the project which is now well underway in Los Angeles.
At one point during the day’s filming, the 31-year-old Australian actress was seen with her head in her hands filming a scene in which Barbie is clearly having a bad day.
Accompanying Margot for a second day is Oscar-nominated star Ryan Gosling who plays his counterpart Ken – dressed in a western-style shirt with embroidered flowers, fringed trims and pearlescent snaps.

Barbie’s heartbreak may be due to the film’s synopsis, which is billed as “a fish-out-of-water story about a doll who is ousted from toy society because she’s not perfect enough,” according to a Vulture report.
Another synopsis on IMDB of the upcoming film reads, “A doll living in ‘Barbieland’ is kicked out for not being perfect enough and embarks on a real-world adventure.” A live-action feature film based on the popular Barbie line of toys.
Will Ferrell is said to play the CEO of the toy company which may or may not be Mattel.

Little Women and Ladybird director Greta Gerwig is directing the project and penned the script for the film with her longtime partner Noah Baumbach.
Other cast members include Kate McKinnon, Michael Cera, Emma Mackey, Kingsley Ben-Adir, America Ferrara, Rhea Perlman, Ariana Greenblatt, Ana Cruz Kayne, Alexandra Shipp, Ritu Arya, Sharon Rooney, Connor Swindells, Scott Evans and Jamie Demetriou. .
Fans think Emma will play Skipper, Barbie’s younger sister, thanks to her resemblance to Margot.

It has been rumored that there will be different versions of Barbie and Ken, with one Barbie portrayed by Issa Rae and the other possibly being Hari Nef.
Marvel’s Simu Liu and new Doctor Who Ncuti Gatwa would also play other Kens.
New York Times reporter Kyle Buchanan recently tweeted: “I’m hearing incredible rumors about BARBIE at Cannes. On the one hand I’m hearing that Ryan Gosling isn’t the only Ken in the BARBIE movie. Simu Liu and Ncuti Gatwa also play Ken.
“And, by the same token, Margot Robbie is not the only Barbie in the film. Issa Rae and Hari Nef play different Barbies…’

Meanwhile, in 2016 it was originally announced that Amy Schumer would take on the role – but she pulled out four months later.
“Unfortunately, I can no longer engage with Barbie due to scheduling conflicts,” she said at the time. “The movie has so much promise, and Sony and Mattel have been great partners. I’m disappointed but can’t wait to see Barbie on the big screen.
However, Amy later admitted that it was less about schedules and more about creative differences. “They definitely didn’t want to do it the way I wanted to do it, the only way I was interested in doing it,” she told The Hollywood Reporter.

To celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Mattel doll, Barbie will hit theaters on July 21, 2023.
