Awkward Moment Jimmy Carr Says The Project Was Better When Charlie Pickering Hosted

Project hosts Sarah Harris and Waleed Aly were left speechless when comedian Jimmy Carr said the show was better with Charlie Pickering as host on Wednesday.

The British-Irish comedian, 50, was being interviewed by Sarah, when she asked him if he had ever made a joke he regretted.

Jimmy replied jokingly that the one thing he couldn’t make fun of was how much better the show was when Charlie was the host nine years ago.

‘Have you ever written a joke and come back from the concert [and regretted it]?’ Sarah asked.

“I think the only thing that’s wrong that you can’t talk about is how much better this show was with Charlie Pickering,” Jimmy replied.

“That show was something, wasn’t it. When that guy was here, it was fire,’ he added as the hosts burst into laughter.

“I agree,” Waleed said.

Jimmy is currently on his Terribly Funny tour of Australia and New Zealand.

He currently performs in Melbourne before traveling to Adelaide, Canberra, Ballarat, Bendigo and Newcastle.

“I think the one thing that you couldn’t talk about was how much better this show was with Charlie Pickering (pictured),” Jimmy replied.

“I agree,” Waleed said before bursting into laughter.

He will then travel to Sydney, Wollongong, Geelong, Canberra, Mandurah, Perth, Hobart, Launceston, Brisbane and Caloundra.

Jimmy will also perform in Toowomba in April, before traveling to Townsville, Cairns, Darwin, Gold Coast and returning to Melbourne and Sydney in May.

He is known for his controversial jokes on topics such as midgets, fat women, female genital mutilation and the Holocaust.
