Audi Q6 E-Tron spied with its digital interior widely discovered

The camouflage wrap still hides smaller details on the upcoming Audi Q6 E-Tron, but this new batch of spy photos gives us our best look at the EV’s interior. Unsurprisingly, digital screens with a limited selection of touch controls are the order of the day.

We’ve seen the interior of the Q6 E-Tron before, but this time most of the dashboard covers are removed. Also prominent is the steering wheel, behind which is the digital instrument display. The wheel looks very similar to the one used in the smaller Q4 E-Tron, but the dashboard with the central touchscreen sticking out is a significant departure from the built-in screen of other models. There don’t appear to be any separate buttons underneath, and the center console has a limited selection of controls as well. It looks like Audi is taking a minimalist approach with this model.

Outside, we see the same form-fitting camouflage wrap used on previous test vehicles. It hides small details but does not hide the front split light design with a closed Audi grille in the middle. it’s impossible to miss sensors in the lower fairing for driver assistance systems, although at this time it’s unclear how advanced those systems will be. We can see that Audi is also keeping the traditional crossover/SUV styling for the Q6 E-Tron, unlike rival Mercedes-Benz who designed their EQ range to look very different from combustion vehicles.

Audi will offer the Q6 E-Tron as a standard SUV and a sleek Sportback model. Both are rumored to offer single-motor and dual-motor configurations, with higher-end RS versions eventually generating up to 600 horsepower (447 kilowatts). Range is still unknown, but anything between 250 and 300 miles is a safe bet. It will share a platform with the Porsche Macan EV.

We still expect to see a full reveal before the end of the year, launching as a 2023 model. That means a debut could be weeks or even days away.
