Canada captain Atiba Hutchinson provided one of the most memorable World Cup performances after being spotted with a swab in his nose.
Hutchinson was leading his side in their 4-1 loss to Croatia on Sunday when he was forced off the pitch with a bloody nose.

He suffered a blow to his nose, which led to an innovative new solution from their medical team
Seeking to find a way to control his nosebleed, Hutchinson consulted with his national team physio before returning to the pitch.
He then returned to the field with an innovative new look as the nosebleed was brought under control by the tampon.
Hutchinson was making his 100th appearance with the Maple Leafs, but unfortunately for him, he couldn’t score it with a win.
As Alphonso Davies headed home after just 67 seconds for his first goal in a World Cup final, Croatia showed their experience and quality as Marko Livaja and a brace from Andrej Kramaric saw them go from forward, before Lovro Mejer took the win.
As a result, Canada are knocked out of the competition with one game to play, while Croatia will need to avoid defeat to Belgium in their final group game in order to advance to the knockout stages.
