NEW YORK, January 26, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — ASCAP, the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publisherstoday announced the promotion of three executives to Senior Vice President (SVP): Elizabeth Rodda at SVP of International Affairs; Matt DeFilippis at SVP of licenses; and Alex Coulis at Senior Vice President of Membership and Business and Legal Affairs.

Elizabeth Roddasenior vice president of international affairs
Elizabeth Rodda is based in Miami and reports to Tony DunaïfASCAP’s Executive Vice President of International Affairs.
As Senior Vice President, Rodda will strive to maximize international revenue for ASCAP members. She will also continue to lead ASCAP’s team of international analysts in assessing and improving data collection and accuracy and will work closely with our partner collective management societies and our data across the globe to drive revenue and greater efficiency for music creators.

Liz has led the creation of tracking and analysis processes that ensure greater transparency and improve the monetization of ASCAP rights overseas. Rodda began working at ASCAP in 2013 as Regional Relations Manager for Latin America and the Caribbean.
Prior to ASCAP, Rodda worked as a freelance consultant and held publishing and licensing positions at Planet Records and Caribe Sound and Music Publishing. She graduated from Florida International University and is a classically trained pianist.
Matt DeFilippisPlease Licenses
Matt DeFilippis, situated at New Yorkreports to ASCAP Executive Vice President of Licensing, Stephanie Ruyle.
In his role as Senior Vice President, DeFilippis will be responsible for revenue for some of the industry’s largest platforms, including digital audio and AV streaming platforms, as well as traditional AV and audio. He will also help develop overall growth strategies for existing and potential licensees, as well as generate new licensing opportunities on behalf of ASCAP songwriters, lyricists, composers and publisher members.

DeFilippis worked in strategic planning at the National Music Publishers Association/Harry Fox Agency before joining ASCAP in 2001. He is a graduate of Colombia University.
Alex CoulisSVP Membership and Business and Legal Affairs
Alex Coulis, situated at New Yorkreports to the Director of Legal and Commercial Affairs of ASCAP, Clara Kim and will also work closely under the guidance of Creative Director of ASCAP, John Titta.
In his new role as Senior Vice President, Grout will continue to play a vital role on ASCAP’s business, legal and member affairs teams. He is responsible for complex membership, copyright, licensing and transactional issues affecting ASCAP members and a key negotiator with top songwriters and ASCAP members regarding matters membership and distribution.
