Arsenal target Mykhaylo Mudryk has told The Times he dreams of playing in the Premier League, as he says he believes he is only 20 per cent of his full potential.
Mudryk has become one of the most talked about young players in Europe this year. The Ukrainian has been outstanding for Shakhtar Donetsk.
His performances in the Champions League – where he has scored two goals and provided two assists in two games so far – have launched his reputation among many others. But many clubs will have absolutely no strangers to his talent.
Reports claimed that Arsenal approached their representatives in the summer. And Darijo Srna has hinted that he is only behind Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Jr in his position. The Gunners also spotted him playing for Ukraine this week.
Mudryk has already spoken about being ready to play for Arsenal. And he has now reiterated his desire to play in the Premier League. He also made an exciting claim regarding his potential.
“Yes, yes it is possible,” he told The Times, when asked if he would ever play in the Premier League. “The Premier League is the best league in the world and everyone wants to play in this league.”
“I’m only at 20% maximum of my potential,” he added.
Mudryk dreams of playing in the Premier League
The concern for Premier League sides is that there is plenty of time before the January transfer window opens. And Mudryk is set to come up against Real Madrid.
If it steals the show in these games, its price will have increased significantly. And there will likely be a lot more interest as the new year rolls around.
But it is encouraging that he has spoken of his desire to play in the Premier League, and with Arsenal before.
And Mikel Arteta’s men could be looking for one of the last pieces of the jigsaw in January – judging by the incredible start to the season they have made.
