Arsenal have been offered a boost in their pursuit of Leicester City star Youri Tielemans and Shakhtar Donetsk’s Mykhaylo Mudryk.
The Gunners currently sit five points clear at the top of the Premier League but are looking to strengthen their squad in January in their pursuit of the title.
Earlier this month, Mudryk, 21, told the Gunners star and the wife of his Ukrainian team-mate Oleksandr Zinchenko that he would need to ‘hear directly from Mikel Arteta what he envisioned for his role by his side”.
Meanwhile, the Gunners are still interested in Tielemans – whose contract at the King Power Stadium runs out next summer – even though he hasn’t had him this summer due to concerns over his physique.
Now CBS reporter Ben Jacobs has said the pair are focused on a move to the Emirates.
“Newcastle is definitely not the favorite for Mudryk, who has Arsenal at heart, much like Tielemans has Arsenal at heart.” he said.
“But, with Tielemans and Mudryk, Arsenal just haven’t made an offer at this stage.”
According to The Athletic, Mudryk’s price tag has risen to £86m and he has attracted interest from Arsenal and Newcastle United.

The Magpies aren’t the only other interested party though, with Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain keen while Everton, Brentford and Bayer Leverkusen have made approaches this summer.
The youngster has scored 10 goals in 18 appearances for Ukraine this season and also has eight caps for his country.
Meanwhile, reports earlier this month suggested the Gunners were ready to make a move for Tielemans in January.
It’s been a tough season for Leicester but the Belgian has scored three goals from midfield this season so far.
