Arsenal fans notice what Chelsea’s X account did when Kai Havertz scored and ask the same question

Arsenal fans all spotted what was happening on Chelsea’s social media account when Kai Havertz was running amok at the Emirates.

Havertz showed it wasn’t £60m wasted (or so the chant goes) by scoring twice against his former club in a 5-0 win.

The Germany international has performed brilliantly as a number nine and has already surpassed his best scoring season in the Premier League.

That made it 11 goals for the season, with his brace in the demolition of Chelsea in London to put the Gunners three points clear at the top of the table.

Arsenal fans were convinced that Chelsea’s admin on X, formerly Twitter, couldn’t even bring himself to mention Havertz by name.

When he scored, their account read ‘Goal for Arsenal’. But when Ben White found the net, his name was mentioned.

It was picked up by many Gooners, with some asking the question: who scored?

However, the club also failed to name Leandro Trossard when he scored in the opener, perhaps ruining the former Brighton player they should have signed.

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta was full of praise for Havertz after his brace against his former club.

“He was amazing, in every department,” he said.

“For a nine to score two goals like he did, his contribution was great. It’s a question for him but I’m sure he’s very happy.

“It was a great performance, collectively and individually,” added Arteta, whose side clearly won ahead of Sunday’s derby against Tottenham but played a game more than Liverpool and two more than Manchester City.

“I thought we were really good, against a really good team who were in great form and were going to ask us a lot of questions. I thought we responded really well.

“From the start we were really determined, very smooth, playing with a lot of courage and making things happen. Really happy with the result. It’s a great day for our supporters.

“It’s great for us, for the confidence and the belief that we can do it, that we can get to these stages against great teams and win games like we did tonight. So enjoy it and then go back to work tomorrow because we have a big one on Sunday.”
