Arsenal’s Champions League run came to an end on Wednesday when Joshua Kimmich’s goal sent Bayern Munich into the semi-finals.
The aggregate score stood at 2-2 after their quarter-final first leg last week, with Bayern taking the home advantage in the second leg.

But just after the hour mark, North London’s efforts were dashed when Kimmich headed in a Raphael Guerreiro cross from the left.
The Germany international had the time and freedom to rush into the box, shoot on target and blast past David Raya.

Kimmich’s goal sparked an attacking change from Mikel Arteta as he opted to bring Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Jesus into the fray.
But it didn’t prove enough for Arsenal, who ultimately lost 3-2 on aggregate, ending any hopes of winning a maiden Champions League crown.
Bayern’s victory increases their chances of salvaging what has been a hugely disappointing season after already losing the Bundesliga title to Bayer Leverkusen.
Harry Kane in particular will be delighted with victory against Arsenal as the former Tottenham striker awaits his first major trophy.
