Ariana Grande revealed Thursday that fans waiting for her next album will likely have to wait at least until she’s done “Wicked.”

The singer will star as Glinda in the two-part film adaptation of the hit Broadway musical inspired by the “Wizard of Oz,” alongside Cynthia Erivo.
In a video on her YouTube channel, a fan asked Grande for a hint about her seventh album, which she admitted didn’t exist yet.
“That’s a question I’m having a hard time answering, but I feel like I want to have some transparency and honesty with my fans,” she said. “The truth is, I haven’t started an album. By the vine I mean you have a lot of theories and expectations in that department.
Grande explained that after releasing her last album, Positionsin October 2020, she was not ready to embark on the next one, then took care of “The Voice” and auditioned for “Wicked”.
“It was around the time I started hearing whispers about an upcoming ‘Wicked’ audition, so I went into full prep mode while I was also filming ‘The Voice’,” she said. “I was shooting and also doing classes every day because I just wanted to be prepared.”

She added: “I know I know the material like the back of my hand, but I have so much to learn and I want to be in top condition, so I worked hard to prepare.”
Finally, Grande said of her “Wicked” role, “It’s going to have every piece of me, every minute, every ounce of my heart, my time, my soul, whatever I can give it,” he said. she declared. “I have my hands full of a lot of other ‘exciting’ work at the moment. I spend all my time with Glinda, I just wasn’t ready.
“Wicked” is slated for a two-part release in December 2024 and 2025.
