There was a time when we reported on Ariana most of the time – when just taking a look at her IG grid gave us new inspiration for our next beauty look.
There was the birthday selfie she took last year, revealing her natural short hair after removing all of her extensions. Then there was the curtain bangs which gave us the big school assembly vibes, not to mention THAT super blonde beehive, or THESE blonde ombre braids.
But it’s safe to say Ariana has gotten a bit quiet lately, mostly sharing news of her music on social media, alongside a very rare selfie photo or cute couples with fiance Dalton Gomez.
So imagine our excitement last month when she got a makeover based on one of our favorite drag artists, Gottmik (who is currently in the running to take the crown in the final season of RuPaul’s Drag Race in America). Ariana captioned the clip: “@Gottmik i really wanna be u but it’s just not … in the cards” and told him to 232 million subscribers, “Help me! Guess who doesn’t know how to do drag makeup ? You like.”
She then added another story by zooming in on her face and said: “I love you so much!” while tagging Gottmik again and writing “I WANT @GOTTMIK”. It was great to see her smile on camera again after so long – although she was unrecognizable in the heavily made-up and filtered clip.
Well, she was back on her stories this weekend, this time with a lot less makeup but equal amounts of nerve. The shots captured her posing in a forma pilates session, dressed in workout gear, with scuffed hair and no makeup, and sure enough she looked gorgeous …
Googling “pilates class near me” and putting our makeup in the trash as we speak …
