‘That’s a tricky question …’ Big Brother lovebirds Sophie Budack and Chad Hurst avoid questions about their relationship in live interview

Five weeks in Big Brother’s house were enough for Sophie Budack and Chad Hurst to become inseparable.

But on Tuesday, the show’s resident lovebirds seemed a little suspicious when asked how their romance had been going since filming ended in late April.

Appearing live on The Ben, Rob & Robbo Show, Chad and Sophie awkwardly dodged questions about their relationship.

The couple became household couple on the Seven reboot and were often filmed kissing and cuddling in bed.

When asked if they were ‘still an object’ or if they had experienced ‘fireworks’ together in Sydney since their reunion, the responses weren’t quite sincere.

“ This is a tricky question, because we came back to the world at a strange time with the coronavirus. Chad lives in Sydney and I was returning to Darwin. As soon as we left the house, we didn’t see each other and that put everything on hold, ”Sophie said.

She joked that now that she was in Sydney it might be easier to schedule a ‘first date’, hinting that they hadn’t had one since arriving.

“ Sophie landed a few days ago and we have the final so that’s the exciting part. Now we can see what’s going on, ”Chad said.

Host and former Big Brother winner Ben Norris replied, “Yes or no, Chad. Have you kissed Sophie since you saw her last week?

Sophie giggled, as Chad replied, “ I saw Sophie like once, and so of course I kissed her. I’m not going to shake his hand and say, “How are you, mate?”

“Like I said, I’m glad to see her tomorrow night. It’s gonna be great … but you never know until you see us in the final.

Before the winner was decided by a public vote, Chad and Sophie agreed to share the cash prize of $ 230,000 if either of them wins.

Speaking to Daily Mail Australia on Tuesday, the couple confirmed their extraordinary decision to share the prize.

The couple face off against former AFL star Daniel Gorringe, who found the deal between the couple hard to believe.

'If they split this money I'll eat my left shoe': Daniel was a little more skeptical of the deal the couple had made, but said if either of them wins, they'll would also have deserved

He added: ‘Sophie and Chad would deserve this victory if they got it. ”
