Coming a day after the other beta releases from fourth-cycle developers, Apple has released a new version of watchOS 6.2 for download and testing.
Operating system versions provided as part of the developer beta program can be downloaded from the Apple Developer Center website, or as a live update for devices already enrolled in the program. Public beta counterparts usually arrive shortly after development variants and can be retrieved from the Apple Beta software program website.
The fourth developer version of watchOS 6.2 appears one day after the release of the other four developer and public beta versions of this current cycle: iOS 13.4, iPadOS 13.4, tvOS 13.4 and macOS 10.15.4. Previously, watchOS had arrived alongside the others on February 26 for the third version, February 19 for the second and February 5 for the first.
Both AppleInsider and Apple itself strongly recommends that users do not install beta on “critical” or primary devices, as there is a remote possibility of data loss or other problems. Instead, testers should install beta on secondary or nonessential devices and make sure there are enough backups of important data before the update.
