First, on Apple shoes. In the late 80s, Apple launched a fashion line and shoes were one of them. However, these shoes were never made available to the public, but were used as prototypes for Apple employees only.
A GQ report indicates that an auction of rare Apple sneakers took place and that a pair was sold for around $ 16,400. The GQ report does not mention any other details on the shoe, except that it was sold by the Heritage auction house. The auction website also doesn’t give a lot of details about these Apple sneakers. What he does say, however, is that these sneakers were in size 9 1/2 and that “these sneakers were produced by Apple exclusively for their employees in the early 1990s”.
According to the GQ report, it’s not the most money someone has paid for Apple sneakers. In 2018, a pair of Apple sneakers sold for $ 30,000 at an auction.
Souvenirs related to Apple are still in demand, but not as much as the articles signed by its co-founder Steve Jobs. In December 2019, a diskette signed by Jobs had sold for more than $ 84,000, or more than Rs 60 lakh.
The diskette contained a copy of Macintosh System Tools version 6.0. On the record label was Jobs’ signature with a black felt tip pen.
Jobs’ autograph has always been considered a collector’s item, and many Apple fans have also tendered in the past. In December 2018, it was revealed that Jobs’ autograph was worth more than $ 50,000 (around 35 lakh rupees), according to 2018 Paul Fraser Collectibles Autograph Index. This is considered to be one of the most expensive autographs more than any living or dead member of the Beatles.
