In his latest newsletter, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman shared a breakdown of the products that Apple is slated to launch in 2022. Starting with AirPods and iPads, Gurman has revealed a bunch of products the tech giant could launch in the coming year. Regarding smartphones, besides the iPhone 14 series, Gurman pointed out that the company may also launch a new iPhone SE that supports 5G in 2022.
A similar report was shared by Taiwanese research firm TrendForce last month. According to the report, the company will launch the next generation of iPhone SE, also known as Apple. iPhone SE3, in the first quarter of 2022. If the research company’s claim is true, the company is expected to hold an event to launch the device in March. While Gurnam has not revealed the smartphone’s launch timeline, the one shared by the research firm appears to be correct as other tipsters have also hinted at a similar timeline.
Apple isn’t known to reveal plans for upcoming devices, but every year we see some noteworthy predictions that disclose most things about the models. According to previous claims by Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the next iPhone SE will not undergo a design change and will look like the one currently sold in the market. Which means the smartphone will have a 4.7-inch Retina HD display with the Touch ID home button. Under the hood, the device would have the A15 Bionic chip.
The stream Apple iPhone SE model on the market is a 2nd generation smartphone. It was launched by the company last April. It is powered by an A13 Bionic chip which was first introduced in the iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro. The device has a 12MP f / 1.8 wide camera. The smartphone is IP67 water and dust resistant and it also supports the latest iOS 15 operating system.
