Official sales of the iPhone 12 and 12 Pro as well as the new iPad Air are now open. Users who participated in last week’s Wave 1 pre-order will now receive their new phones and tablets. Apple offers buyers contactless delivery and in-store pickup options. As usual, Australian and New Zealand buyers received their devices first due to time zone differences.
In addition, Apple is expanding its “Express Storefront” format to 29 other retail stores in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada and France. This format follows all COVID-19 security protocols, including armored plexiglass kiosks and sales counters. Apple plans to add more express storefronts to its retail stores around the world.
This is also the first year that Apple has synchronized its pre-orders globally.
Speaking of pre-orders, they’re now live in the second wave of countries including India, South Korea, and a dozen other regions and territories. Official sales will begin next week on October 30.
