Anthony Joshua among the stars wishes Cristiano Ronaldo a happy birthday as he posts a photo of him on Instagram with three cakes and his partner Georgina Rodriguez

Anthony Joshua was among the famous faces to wish Cristiano Ronaldo a happy birthday.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner posted images of himself, friends and partner Georgina Rodriguez and three cakes as he celebrated his 38th birthday.

However, given that Ronaldo continues to control his diet, feasting on delicious cakes is likely not right.

Ronaldo went on to thank everyone wishing him a happy birthday, writing on Instagram: “Thank you all for all the birthday messages. I am grateful to have spent the day with my family and friends.”

Former world heavyweight champion boxer Anthony Joshua was among those hoping for a good day.

In the photos, Ronaldo can be seen with key members of his inner circle and family friends.

Alongside his longtime partner were his eldest son Cristiano Ronaldo Jnr and El Chiringuito journalist Edu Aguirre, as well as his wife and Ronaldo’s new agent Ricky Regufe.

Miguel Paixao and Jose Semedo are two of Ronaldo’s oldest pals and they also joined in the celebrations.

Paixao was once Ronaldo’s roommate when he started at Sporting Lisbon as a teenager, and regularly joins them on vacation.

Ronaldo started his weekend, scoring his first goal for new club Al Hilal from the penalty spot on Friday, to help salvage a 2-2 draw against Al Fateh.

Al-Nassr’s next game will see them face Al Wehda on Thursday. Ronaldo’s side are currently top of the league, ahead of Al Shabab and Al Ittihad, but only on goal difference.

However, despite this, he kicked off his celebratory weekend with a goal for new club Al Nassr from the penalty spot.
