According to reports, Oscar-winning director Ang Lee is now set to direct a film chronicling the life of Chinese-American martial arts legend Bruce Lee. The director also cast his son, Mason Lee, to play Bruce Lee in the 3000 Pictures project, a division of Sony Pictures.

Set to span Bruce Lee’s career from his origins in Hong Kong and Hollywood, the biopic will be written by Dan Futterman of Hood celebrity. Despite his death in 1973 at the age of 32, Lee retained a lasting legacy as an actor, director and martial arts icon.
