Based on data compiled by Bank My Cell, it appears that Android smartphones have a tendency to amortize up to 59.41% which is more than twice compared to Apple that depreciates the lowest at only 25.98% after a year. But that’s not all, the value of the two devices will drop to 45.46% and 71.41% respectively for Apple and Android smartphones the following year, which is quite steep.

As for the Android device brand that depreciates the least, Nokia seems to lose the least value at only 27.68%, followed by Sony at 31.30%. In contrast, Motorola, LG and Google lost the most with 59.41%, 56.76% and 51.68% respectively in just one year.
