Silva vs. Chavez Jr. took place on June 19 at Jalisco Stadium in Guadalajara, Mexico. Former UFC Champion Anderson Silva (2-1) faced Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (52-6-1, 1 without contest) in the main co-event. The fight was broadcast live on FITE pay-per-view. Watch more video highlights below.

Round 1: Chavez takes the center of the ring. Silva goes around in circles as the boxers gauge each other. Silva with a 2-3 opening that Chavez blocks. Chavez awaiting an opening. Glancing at Silva, not much about that punch. There is a reversal to the right of Chavez, partially blocked. Chavez’s left hook passes. Chavez cutting the ring with his movement. Chavez with a left, Silva circles to recover from the ropes. Not much to score there.

2nd round: Silva active with his jab, although it’s just a rangefinder at the moment. Chavez moving away from Silva’s direct punches. Chavez with a small punch to the body. Silva scores on the body. Silva with a winged right hand at the top. Chavez with the jab. Silva backs up Chavez with an uppercut to the body. Silva raises his hands and he hits a jab. Chavez connects with a right hand.

Round 3: Silva hits the body. Chavez hits a jab and picks up the pace, scoring in the body. Silva aggressive now, but Chavez is defending himself against the ropes. The left hand passes for Silva. Silva to the body. He is the busiest fighter in the third round. A pair of body lefts scores for Chavez and Chavez narrowly misses with a powerful punch to the head. Silva waves to Chavez to THROW. Silva comes back to the corner and invites Chavez to come over to him. Chavez is content to charge and throw hard punches as Silva blocks.

Round 4: Silva opens the fourth round with a good uppercut. Now he’s cornered Chavez. Chavez with a good movement of the head, he stays out of danger. Silva goes 1-1-2. Silva strengthens Chavez to the ropes, he scores to the body. Jab by Silva keeps Chavez on his back. Chavez seeks to counter with Silva who suffocates him. Silva to the body. Silva lands a combo of two hits, then a left.

Round 5: Silva returns to the offensive. Chavez blocks, but some of those hits pass. Silva stays busy with the jab. Enter right for Chavez. Silva sticks to the jab. Silva with a 1-2 in a row. Chavez just didn’t throw much in this round. Silva pricking away. The quick right hand scores for Chavez and he calls with another.

Round 6: Silva with another quick start for a round. He really puts pressure on Chavez who is defending with little offensive power. Chavez slips a few punches to the body. Silva has just harassed him against the ropes, he attacks with an uppercut. Own leader left by Silva. Chavez with a counter-jab. He blocks a flurry of Silva. Chavez with the right to close the frame.

Round 7: Silva scores on the body, then lands a short uppercut. I don’t know what Chavez is waiting for. Silva hits him with a jab. He turns around and shoots. Chavez launched almost nothing in 90 seconds. Chavez sits up and throws a left hand that lands. Good left to the body by Chavez. Silva with a left to the side of Chavez’s head. Chavez closes the round well with two strong punches to the body. Silva backs him up with the jab.

Round 8: Silva’s jab is still a problem for Chavez. He is clearly the busiest fighter. Silva with a 1-2, then another 1-2. Silva leads the way. They quickly check Chavez’s cut and we’re back in action. Good right next to Chavez to Silva’s chin. It opens with bodywork. Silva keeps the pressure on with his 1-2 combo. Silva with an uppercut. The right hand passes for Chavez, he sends another to the body. Silva responds with another uppercut. Chavez throwing hard as time goes on.
