Mathis was appointed interim CEO in September after three years as COO.
James drinkwater was appointed Executive Chairman of Amwins Global Risks while retaining his current role as Chairman of Amwins.

Graduated from Dartmouth College, Mathis joined Amwins in 2011 in the M&A team where he also helped develop the company’s data and analytics capabilities. Nate was promoted to the Amwins Access Insurance Services leadership team in 2016, developing the Personal Lines MGA and working with the firm’s standard line aggregation activities. Prior to being appointed Interim CEO, he was COO of Amwins International and Amwins Global Risks from 2018.
