Major cryptocurrencies were in the green Monday night with Bitcoin (BTC) trading above the $ 40,000 level, but the main winner at time of publication was the digital guarantee token Amp (AMP).
What happened: BTC traded 3.44% higher at $ 40,385.36 over 24 hours at press time. BTC rose 20.11% over a seven-day period.
Ethereum (ETH) traded up 3.99% to $ 2,597.95 at time of release, while Dogecoin (DOGE) traded up 1.03% to $ 0.33.
Self-proclaimed Dogecoin Killer Shiba inu (SHIB) was trading up 3.27% at $ 0.000007072 at the time of publication.

While dog-themed coins haven’t seen dramatic gains, the action has moved a number of blockchain projects.
AMP traded up 31.3% to $ 0.079 in the 24 hours leading up to press time. The cryptocurrency climbed 88.45% in seven days.
AMP rose 26.88% and 25.64% against BTC and ETH respectively in 24 hours. Spotted (DOT) was up 16.3% to $ 25.43 at time of going to press in a similar time frame.
Other winners on Monday evening 24 hours a day included Ghost (FTM), up 9.66% to $ 0.306, and Chain link (LINK), which traded 9.13% higher at $ 25.39.

Tesla Inc (NASDAQ: TSLA) CEO Elon Musk clarified on Sunday evening the terms under which the automaker would resume BTC payments.

Other factors contributing to Bitcoin’s bullish momentum include on-chain positive signals and the cryptocurrency supporting the Taproot soft fork.
The AMP has climbed 1,107.03% since the start of the year. The cryptocurrency has been listed on Coinbase Global Inc (NASDAQ: COIN) Pro platform last week.
On Monday, Coinbase Pro announced that it will list DOT from Wednesday. Inbound transfers have already started in regions where these exchanges will be supported.
