This evening american idol episode brought us some great performances, but also said goodbye to three talented singers. We now have the Top 11 of this season.

In Sunday night’s “breakout round,” hopeful Idol contestants picked their “breakout” songs and were mentored by american idol alum and country music star Gabby Barrett before taking the stage for the US votes.

The Top 14 performed for the chance to continue their musical journey in front of judges Luke Bryan, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie. Of course, not everyone could stay. So who earned a spot in the Top 11?

Who made the American Idol Top 11?

The two Platinum Ticket winners continue to be successful. Jay Copeland nailed Bruno Mars’ “Just the Way You Are,” while Huntergirl wowed Barrett, the judges and America with Sugarland’s “Baby Girl.”

Here is the complete list of the Top 11 on american idol 2022:

  • Christian Guardino, 21 years old
  • Flore Emyrson, 16 years old
  • Fritz Hager, 22 years old
  • Hunter, 23 years old
  • Jay Copeland, 23
  • Lady K, 25 years old
  • Lea Marlene, 20 years old

Who got into American Idol?

During the episode, those who were at home were voting. This week, we didn’t have to wait until Monday to find out who was going home. Sunday night’s results revealed which three candidates would not advance:

  • Allegra Miles, 18
  • Ava Maybee, 20 years old
  • Dan Marshall, 24

The competition is brutal, and it will only get harder and harder. Tomorrow night, for the very first time, the judges will choose which songs the Top 11 will perform. Budding singers don’t know which judge came up with the suggestions, each contestant will choose their favorite song to sing and the winning judge will be revealed.

What do you think of the Top 11? Did you prefer to go home? Let us know your thoughts in the comments!

american idol airs Sunday and Monday nights at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC, and episodes are available to stream on Hulu the day after they air.
