On monday actor Johnny Depp completed his libel suit against Amber Heard in a court in Fairfax, Virginia.

Depp was cross-examined by Heard’s attorney, Ben Rottenbornon his fourth day at the helm.

He was asked about audio recordings of his arguments with Heard, as well as whether she was the only one worried about his alcoholism.

“Sir, if anyone has had a problem with my drinking, at any time in my life, it’s me,” Depp replied. “The only person I’ve abused in my life is myself.”

Depp remained on the stand to be questioned by his lawyer, Jessica Meyers.

Heard openly mocked Depp for being ‘a victim of abuse’

Jurors also heard a recording of Heard allegedly pressuring Depp to come forward as a “victim of domestic violence” and suggesting he would not be believed.

“Tell the world, Johnny, tell them, Johnny Depp, I, Johnny Depp, a man, am a victim of domestic violence too,” Heard says, before challenging him to “see how many people believe or take sides with you.”

Depp claims Amber Heard defamed him in a Washington Post 2018 opinion piece in which she describes herself as a victim of domestic violence.

Depp was not named in the essay, but he claims he clearly mentioned it and cost him tens of millions of dollars by ruining his career, tarnishing his reputation and ruining his reputation.

A hard test for the two actors

The trial, which began April 11 and will last six weeks, is expected to last six weeks. Heard has yet to give his testimony.

Depp explained that some of the texts presented as evidence by Heard’s lawyer were supposed to be “irreverent” or based on Monty Python films under the direction of his lawyer.

The actor said he often uses humor to deal with “difficult or unpleasant situations”.

Johnny Depp testified that he would try to leave the room or leave their house to defuse disagreements with Heard.

“Nobody deserves to live like this,” Depp said, describing their relationship as “awful” at the end.

Meyers released a recording of a conversation between Heard and Depp from 2016, in which Heard expressed concern about his reputation being reclaimed following press reports about abuse in their relationship.

“When Mrs. Heard said, ‘Tell the world, Johnny’, what did you say?” Tell them, “I, Johnny Depp, a man, I too am a victim of domestic violence,” Meyers asked Depp.

“I said yes. I am,'” Depp replied.
