Originally scheduled for summer 2017, Alto’s odyssey is the sequel to the original game from 2015 The Alto Adventure and although it is a standalone game, it retains the endless runner mechanism for which the original was known while introducing new features, new controls and a new location in the desert. Both games have a “one-touch trick system” that players use to control the main character to chain combos and accomplish various objectives.

In addition to the release of the game on Mac, a simultaneous update has been rolled out on the game on iOS, tvOS and iPadOS, so that any progress of the game on these platforms synchronizes with the installation of Mac, allowing users to switch between devices and continue where they left off seamlessly
The release of Alto’s odyssey on Mac reflects the offset output of the original The Alto Adventure on all Apple platforms, with a launch on Mac depending on the mobile versions of the game.
