Big Time Rush actor Carlos PenaVega and Spy Kids star Alexa PenaVega brought their baby girl Rio home from hospital, after the baby spent a week in the NICU following her untimely arrival .
Carlos, 31, and Alexa, 32, both took to Instagram on Sunday with updates on the baby, which they welcomed earlier this month.
Alexa wrote: “UPDATE! WE ARE AT HOME, ”thanking supporters for their prayers and the medical staff for their care, as well as a black and white photo of her breastfeeding.

“What an adventure this has been for our family! she said. “But what an amazing team of people we’ve had around us all the time. Many thanks to the doctors and nurses at the Kapi’olani medical center.
“From the labor and delivery team to the #NICU team THANK YOU for keeping Rio safe and helping her get through all of her milestones to get home!
She said of the premature birth: ‘This is not how I imagined Rio entering this world … (who knew she would be THAT adventurous !! ??) but we were both in good hands and we felt the peace of God ENTIRE time! ‘

Once again the parents: Carlos, 31, and Alexa, 32 (pictured 2018) both took to Instagram on Sunday with updates on the baby, which they welcomed earlier this month.
Carlos posted a family selfie in which he was posed with Rio and their sons Ocean, four, and Kingston, one.

Carlos shared a photo on Tuesday in which he was resting on a sofa with the newborn in his arms.
“Sooo… I’m going to be doing a lot of stuff over the summer,” the Columbia, Missouri-born actor wrote, adding the hashtags, #dadlife and #girldad.
Early Birth: Posting a black and white photo of the newborn baby’s tiny hand reaching out to his parents’ hands, Carlos explained that the baby was in the NICU due to his premature arrival.
Gender reveals: The couple, who share sons Ocean, four, and Kingston, revealed in February that they were expecting their first daughter and in March they said they chose Rio’s name for her.
Last week Carlos took to the social media site with a black and white photo of the newborn baby’s tiny hand reaching out to his parents’ hands, telling his supporters the child was being treated at NICU hospital.
“So… we’ve been MIA for the last few days,” the actor / singer said. “Let’s just say we’ve learned once again that God is always in control. You can have a PLAN for your life, but all that really matters is HIS plan. Little Rio couldn’t wait to go out and play with her brothers!
He wrote: ‘Mum is feeling great and the little girl is kicking the NICU seriously. By praying we can all be home very soon! What a wave of emotions.
He continued to congratulate his wife, calling her “a champion” and adding, “I could never do what you do. The best mother of our 2 boys and now a little girl. Thank you for being a solid stone for this family.
Alex and Carlos were married in 2014 in Mexico after a five-month engagement. They welcomed their sons Ocean and Kingston in December 2016 and June 2019, respectively. They are currently raising their family in Hawaii.
In February, the couple revealed that they were expecting their first daughter, and in March Alexa shared that they chose Rio’s name for her.

Alexa, 32, rose to fame as a child star, playing the young version of the character of Helen Hunt in the movie Twister, and went on to perform on hit TV shows like ER, The Bernie Mac Show and Ghost Whisperer.
She rose to international fame after Robert Rodriguez chose her to play Carmen Cortez in Spy Kids in 2001 and he reprized the role in Spy Kids 2: The Island of Lost Dreams in 2002 and Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over in 2003.
Carlos also found fame at a young age in the Nickelodeon signed pop group Big Time Rush in 2009, having also starred in TV shows such as ER and Judging Amy.
