Fulham missed a glorious chance to secure his first win of the season after Aleksandar Mitrovic scored an over-the-bar penalty and kicked a 1-1 stalemate with Sheffield United.
The Blades had the best of the first half at Bramall Lane but were unable to make a breakthrough and both teams entered the break level at 0-0.
The visitors missed a glorious chance to take the lead 10 minutes into the second half.
Jack Robinson was ruled to have manipulated the ball in the box, but Mitrovic put the resulting penalty over the crossbar.
Mitrovic’s blush was spared by Ademola Lookman soon after as a piece of individual brilliance from the 22-year-old opened the scoring for Fulham with superb individual effort.
But the Serbian international left his head scratching again after committing a foul on Jack Robinson in the box to give a penalty.
Billy Sharp, who had only been on the pitch for a few minutes, pulled his penalty high and low to show the Fulham forward the way he is and claim a earned run for his team.
