EndeavorRx ® Indication and overview
EndeavorRx is the first and only FDA approved treatment delivered via a video game experience. EndeavorRx is indicated to improve attention function as measured by computerized tests in children aged 8 to 12 years with predominantly inattentive or combination-type ADHD who have a demonstrated attention problem. Patients who engage with EndeavorRx demonstrate improvements in a Sustained and Selective Attention Digitally Evaluated Measurement (TOVA®) test and may not display benefits in typical behavioral symptoms, such as hyperactivity. EndeavorRx should be considered for use in a therapeutic program which may include therapy, medication, and / or clinician-led educational programs that further address the symptoms of the disorder. EndeavorRx is only available by prescription. It is not intended to be used as a stand-alone therapy and is not a substitute for children’s medicine. The most common side effect seen in children in the clinical trial of EndeavorRx was feelings of frustration, as the game can be quite difficult at times. No serious adverse events have been associated with its use. It is recommended that EndeavorRx be used for approximately 25 minutes per day, 5 days per week, for at least 4 consecutive weeks initially, or as recommended by your child’s healthcare provider.
