Rapper Aitch has shed light on his unlikely friendship with Wayne Rooney.
The Bamba hitmaker, 24, spoke to Robert Bruce and Shayna Marie on Capital XTRA Breakfast, where he regaled the story of how they met.
He explained how he went to see a boxing match in Manchester, after which he received a text from the 38-year-old footballer asking if he wanted to come to his mansion to watch UFC (Ultimate Fighting Champion) together.
That’s when Wayne added that he was “the best central defender” on Fifa Pro Clubs, FIFA’s online social mode that allows players to create a Virtual Pro player to play on the pitch with friends.
He said: “Basically the other night I was at the boxing event in Manchester, because a few people from my area were fighting. I had to text Wayne, and he said “what are you doing after boxing, come to my house and watch UFC if you want”…

“So I was like, ‘Yeah, let’s do it.’ And then after that he also texted me ‘I’m also the best central defender you’ve ever seen in professional clubs’ so I was like okay, don’t say any more so we went home to watch the UFC. It was a good night.’
As well as regaling his story, Aitch, real name Harrison James Armstrong, has been praised for his epic musical successes.
Shayna said: “Aitch, you deserve congratulations… becoming the first Manchester rapper to reach over 2 billion streams. Bravo for that. How does it feel to have such a distinction?
He replied: “Sick, you know!” You know what’s crazy? Because I haven’t given up on music for a while. I haven’t really received any statistics and you know what I mean, that kind of thing…
“I was thinking I needed some new stuff that I better start posting, and then I got this kind of notification. So that made me happy.
His new romance came after Aitch split from model Lola Thompson after ten months of dating. The musician went public with his relationship with Lola, 24, earlier this year, but they struggled to keep their romance going and are said to be “drained”.
They went to Wayne’s megamansion to play FIFA and watch UFC.

“But ultimately, they struggled to spend enough time together. Lola threw herself into single life while Aitch threw himself into work. They were both pretty drained.
