Aidoc’s AI-powered care solutions focus on connecting all points of care with new features and expanded solutions showcased at RSNA

CHICAGO, November 27, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — Aidocthe leading provider of AI solutions for healthcare, enters the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) 2022 Annual Meeting with a series of recent approvals, accolades and investments demonstrating the rapid and continued adoption – and massive potential – of artificial intelligence.

“From new rounds of funding to expanding our solutions to cover multiple service lines, Aidoc has achieved many milestones since our move to RSNA last year,” said Elad Walach, co-founder and CEO, Aidoc. “Yet we remain firmly focused on where we started – with radiology. We believe that radiology practices are the champions of AI and early adopters within healthcare systems. more established AI practitioners in healthcare, these physicians can help hospital leaders invest in AI solutions to further improve patient and financial outcomes.”

Honors and Improvements for aiOS™
Since its inception in 2016, Aidoc has revolutionized the way healthcare systems deliver a connected care experience that delivers critical information when and where care teams need it, leading to immediate collective action.

What started with image-based AI quickly expanded to further connect and optimize the care experience through Aidoc’s proprietary aiOS™, a first-of-its-kind operating system that enables organizations to reliably deploy high-volume AI solutions and overcome the challenges associated with legacy IT systems and separate physician workflows. Named “Best New Radiology Software” at the prestigious 2022 AuntMinnie.com Awards, Aidoc further enhances aiOS’ patient management offering by enabling an automated, always-on, end-to-end platform for care and coordination patients.

Additionally, Aidoc is now available on the Epic App Marketplace, enabling efficient integration with Epic’s Electronic Medical Records (EHR) platform. By integrating with Epic, Aidoc’s aiOS streamlines clinical workflows and automatically provides physicians with real-time clinical insights and actionable AI insights into patient care.

Introducing the new Patient Management feature
Aidoc brings enhancements to its patient management offering by enabling an end-to-end, always-on, automated platform for follow-up management and care coordination.

An estimated 12% of patient cases recommended some type of follow-up1. The challenge is that healthcare systems often lack a closed-loop communication system, burdening clinicians and ordering teams with the onerous task of manually connecting all the dots through disparate systems that don’t communicate. effectively. This could potentially add additional man-hours to an already overloaded system and risk patients falling through the cracks.

Aidoc’s patient management solution removes these system barriers by creating an end-to-end process that automates the recommendation of potential follow-up actions with deep integration into the EHR, resulting in closed-loop patient care.

“Our new offering enables teams to not only manage needs in active cases, but also draw attention to unexpected potential findings that may require timely care and management,” said Demetri Giannikopoulos, Vice President of Innovation, Aidoc. “We make tracking easier by connecting the dots along the patient care journey.”

Clinical successes
Aidoc’s software is now used in over 1,000 hospitals worldwide and its impact on the industry is undeniable. A recent study conducted by Cedars-Sinai Medical Center found that the implementation of Aidoc’s AI-augmented radiology worklist triage system resulted in reduced length of hospital stays for patients diagnosed with intracranial hemorrhage (ICH) and pulmonary embolism (PE) of 1.3 days and 2.07 days, respectively.

The impact of Aidoc’s technology is also apparent in the 16 abstracts presented at RSNA, including a retrospective study presented by Envision Healthcare exploring Effectiveness of a convolutional neural network artificial intelligence algorithm in the detection of intracranial hemorrhage on non-contrast CT imaging. In the retrospective study, Envision Healthcare reviewed 8,468 CT scans from 29 different institutions and demonstrated robust sensitivity/specificity (94%/99%) as well as a potential improved triage rate of 5.8%.

FDA Clearances
Aidoc has increased its FDA clearances to 12 with the addition of two CT-based AI solutions – Aortic Dissection (AD) and All Vessel Occlusion (VO) covering the various LVOs and MeVOs. These additions extend Aidoc’s impressive momentum and leadership in AI for healthcare, giving the organization the most FDA clearances in AI imaging .

Expansion of funding
The above successes have also attracted additional investment. Aidoc recently raised $110 million through a Series D funding round led by investors including Technology Crossover Ventures and Alpha Intelligence Capital.

Aidoc will have an onsite booth at McCormick Place during the RSNA Annual Meeting where attendees can demo the end-to-end radiology experience and see first-hand how the exclusive aiOS works as a permanent extension of the hospital health systems that enable facilities to build an intelligent, connected health enterprise.
