Earlier this year, Angelina JolieZahara’s eldest daughter turned her back on her adoptive father Brad Pitt by dropping Pitt from her last name. Zahara, who is currently attending university, now answers to Zahara Marley Jolie rather than her last name Jolie-Pitt after her adoption in 2005, Mirror.co.uk reported.

Zahara was adopted from an orphanage in Addis Ababa, the Ethiopian capital, by Jolie and Pitt in 2005, when she was six months old. According to Mirror.co.uk, Zahara is the second of six children Brad and Angelina share, which also includes Maddox, Shiloh, Pax and twins Knox and Vivienne.

Following in her older sister’s footsteps, Vivienne, 15, also dropped Pitt from her last name and sided with her mother in the ongoing family feud. In the Playbill credits for The Outsiders, a Broadway play she appeared in earlier this year, her name was listed as Vivienne Jolie, according to OK Magazine reports.

Despite this decision of his children, Brad Pitt would have maintained good relations with his children. According to an InTouch source, Pitt meets regularly with his children and is making efforts to rebuild their relationship.

In a surprising turn of events, Hollywood star Angelina Jolie has made damning allegations against her ex-husband Brad Pitt, accusing him of physical abuse before the infamous 2016 plane incident that sent shockwaves through Hollywood . According to court documents obtained by E! Online, filed April 4, Jolie claims Pitt’s abusive behavior was persistent before the incident, marking a painful escalation when he allegedly turned his aggression toward their children during the flight from France to Los Angeles.

It was this moment that caused Jolie to take decisive action and file for divorce, leaving Pitt behind. Since their legal separation in 2019, Pitt and Jolie have been embroiled in a bitter custody battle over their six children, whose well-being is precarious amid tumultuous proceedings.

The legal saga extends beyond their disputes, delving into the realm of property disputes with the couple’s French wine estate, Château Miraval, at its center. What began as a romantic fling descended into acrimony when Pitt accused Jolie of unauthorized actions regarding the estate, leading to a wave of lawsuits and counterclaims. With each new revelation, audiences gain insight into the complex web of emotions and conflicts that defined Pitt and Jolie’s post-divorce landscape.

Zahara, who is currently a sophomore in college, was seen in a video of her sorority induction where she said, “My name is Zahara Marley Jolie. And (I) flew in from the Golden State in the city full of angels: Los Angeles, California.

The clip was shared online, with social media users quickly spotting her choice of last name. Writing on Twitter, one person shared: “I wasn’t going to say anything but I really noticed Zahara forgot her last name.” Another wrote: “Oh, Zahara said her last name was Jolie, not Jolie-Pitt.” A third said: “I need people to respect her as an individual who just said her name out loud: ZAHARA. MARLEY. JOLIE. No mention of the name PITT. Period.”

Angelina is now said to be “healing” following her split from Brad, with the couple splitting in 2016 after just two years of marriage.
