Taylor Swift’s best friend Todrick Hall recently stood up for the folklore singer amid the controversy over the Ginny & Georgia joke, where the show made a sexist joke about Taylor.
Taylor Swift’s best friend Todrick Hall recently defended the singer over a joke made by Netflix’s latest release – Ginny & Georgia. The 35-year-old artist posted a defense for the 31-year-old folk singer after calling Netflix over a Ginny & Georgia joke about her love life. “Taylor has bigger balls than any man I’ve ever dated. Let’s make people, writers, networks responsible for treating humans like humans and not allowing them to use someone’s personal life as the butt of a joke… ”he wrote on Twitter.
If you’re not aware, at one point in the show one of the characters says, “What do you care? You go through men faster than Taylor Swift. Taylor’s fans quickly gathered around her and criticized the show for the misogynistic commentary about who she had chosen to date her over the years. Taylor saw all of the comments and obviously heard the “joke,” and she responded with a scathing statement directed at both the show and the streaming service. Taylor posted his tweet against the sexist joke. Say, “Hey Ginny & Georgia, 2010 called and he wants his lazy, deeply sexist joke to come back. How about stopping degrading hard working women by defining that horse shit like FuNnY. Plus, @netflix after Miss Americana, this outfit is unlike you. Happy Women’s History Month, I guess.
Taylor’s boyfriend Joe Alwyn also showed his support for his girlfriend and liked Taylor’s tweet shortly after posting it. Joe rarely seems to use Twitter with his last “Like” in November 2020 and his last tweet in 2018.
