Adam Sandler and Salma Hayek have paid tribute to their on-screen son Cameron Boyce, who died aged 20.
The Disney Channel star – who played Hayek and Sandler’s son Keith Feder in the The adults film franchise – died in his sleep at the age of 20 this weekend and the Los Angeles County medical examiner has scheduled an autopsy.
Sandler posted a photo of Boyce on Instagram and wrote, “Too young. Too sweet. Too funny. Just the nicest, most talented, most honest kid in the world. I loved this child. He cared so much about his family. I cared so much about the world. Thank you, Cameron, for everything you have given us. Much more was on the way. All of our hearts are broken. Thinking of your incredible family and sending you our deepest condolences.
Hayek posted: “I had the privilege of playing Cameron’s mother in #grownups 1 and 2 and we stayed in touch over the years. He was fiery, talented, kind, generous, funny and brilliant. His joy will forever live in our hearts as he continues to dance and shine elsewhere. My heart goes out to his lovely family.
Boyce – star of the TV movie franchise Descendants and comedy show Jessie – died in his sleep after suffering a seizure resulting from an ongoing health problem for which he was being treated.

Boyce catapulted to stardom playing Cruella De Vil’s son Carlos in the made-for-TV fantasy musical. Descendants. He is believed to have filmed his role in Descendants 3 which is set to premiere on Disney Channel next month.
Actress Selma Blair had not worked with Boyce but her eight-year-old son Arthur was a big fan.
THE hell boy The star wrote on Instagram: “Cameron Boyce. Arthur’s model. For the coming years. I loved knowing that such a soulful and talented young man was there for my son to look up to. We are saddened to learn of his passing. And my heart aches for his family and loved ones.
Some of the Boyce Descendants co-stars also paid tribute to him on social media. The show follows the children of famous Disney characters.

Dove Cameron, who plays Maleficent’s daughter Mal, wrote: “No words. the words will come later.
Wendy Raquel Robinson, who played his on-screen mother Cruella de Vil in the series, wrote: “My dearest Cameron…my Carlos forever. I’m at a loss for words, my heart hurts, I’m praying for your precious family, I love you Victor! You came into my life for a reason: to shine light and laughter into dark, hidden spaces. Thanks Cameron! »
Descendants stars Sarah Jeffrey, Dianne Doan and Keegan Connor Tracy were also among those who shared photos of themselves with Boyce.
