Former Home and Away star Sharni Vinson paid emotional tribute to Nicholas Tucci after his shock death this week.
The couple played together in the movie You’re Next, with their respects by sharing a photo of the couple on Instagram.
“The devastation and tragedy this week has been difficult to deal with,” she wrote, sharing a photo of the two at a promotional event.

Actor Nicholas died this week after a battle with a mysterious illness he has chosen to keep secret. He was only 38 years old.

Sharni wrote in an Instagram article: “ This week’s devastation and tragedy have been difficult to deal with. It was an honor to have known you and to have worked with you on You’re Next. The actor’s father Alexander Tucci made the announcement in a Facebook statement on Friday.
“This is Alexander Tucci, Nick’s father. On Tuesday March 3, Nick died at the Smilow Cancer Hospital in New Haven, Connecticut, “he said in the mail.
“Nick has chosen to keep his illness private so that he can continue pursuing his professional and artistic dreams for as long as possible.”

His father revealed that his son was still able “to audition, go out there and continue the work he loved so much, ”in the last year of his life.
Alexander then thanked everyone who had worked and supported his son throughout his career.
“ To those of you in the film, television and theater communities … thank you for guiding, encouraging and supporting Nick.
Dreams: “Nick chose to keep his illness private so that he could pursue his professional and artistic dreams for as long as possible,” wrote his father.
“To those of you who have enjoyed Nick’s work on screen and on the stage … thank you for recognizing his talent and appreciating his efforts.”
He ended by adding: “To all … thank you for your gift of friendship to my son.”
A number of Tucci collaborators paid tribute to Twitter.
Co-star Barbara Crampton wrote: “ Dear rip, sweet friend Nicholas Tucci. I had the chance to work with him twice on YOU’RE NEXT and CHANNEL ZERO.

Producer Keith Calder wrote, “RIP Nick Tucci. I had the chance to work with Nick on three films (UNDOCUMENTED, YOU’NE NEXT and FAULTS) and he was one of my favorite actors to work with.
