Acer activated BiForst for Arc A770
It looks like Acer spared no time in delivering the first Arc A7 desktop GPUs to the press. Plonter.info, an Israeli tech website, told us that they already have a full review of this board.
If you’re wondering how a custom Arc A7 GPU might work, here’s your answer. Plonter managed to get a sample of a custom Acer Predator BiForst GPU, essentially becoming the first media outlet in the world to test not just this card, but any custom Arc GPU.
Acer Predator A770 is a completely custom design with dual fans and dual 8-pin power connectors. Interestingly, this is a 16GB version, not an 8GB model, which will be the first choice for A770 custom designs.
According to the test, this GPU has a ‘Graphics’ reference clock of 2100 MHz and a TBP of 225W. That said, we don’t know exactly what the “OC” means for this card. There is also no change in the configuration of the display output. The site does not confirm if the HDMI ports are 2.1 or 2.0.
The site has all the performance figures for this card, but unfortunately no information on availability or pricing. Since the sample has already made its way to the media, there’s a chance it will launch with Intel Limited Edition GPUs next week, at least in Israel.
