Have you ever thought about yourself: “I would like someone to combine The voice and The single person and make it a weird competition series? “Well, apparently someone did, because that’s exactly what ABC’s next virtual reality dating show is. The single person: Listen to your heart sound like. In the series, 20 single men and women (who are all musicians or people who work in music) will live together and go together on dates on the theme of music. Once participants find someone to connect with, the new couple will be tested through musical challenges, such as live performances in front of some of the biggest names in music. As ABC Entertainment President Karey Burke said, “Think The baccalaureate in paradise meets A star is born“So, basically, the couples will be judged according to the presence or not of chemistry at the level of Lady-Gaga and Bradley-Cooper on stage.
The idea is that – since love and music both have the ability to elicit powerful emotional responses – this show will allow music-loving couples to connect in a whole new way. As you would expect, the first promo in the series is filled with duets, tears and – of course – people singing “Listen to Your Heart” by Roxette. As with all Bachelor Nation series, Chris Harrison organizes (obviously) to determine who is there for the right reasons. The duets will be scored on their performance together until there is only a couple left. The end goal: find a duo partner forever.
While chatting with Entertainment tonight, Bachelor executive producer Martin Hilton said he also wanted to buy musicians for Bachelor the viewers. “The musicians we had on [in the past] may not be the representative type we want, “he said.” And there are a lot of good musicians out there, and it’s time to give them a platform. “(We feel like he’s talking about you, Jed Wyatt.) As a musician himself, Hilton also explained that when you make music with someone else,” there is an undeniable connection “We will have to see if this show reaches the right note (LOL) with Bachelor fans when it premiered on April 13 on ABC.
