Abbey Gelmi and Kane Lambert are expecting their first child together.
The 7News sports presenter, 32, revealed the news in an interview with the Herald Sun on Sunday.
“Although it’s been such a special time, I’ve been quite sick,” Gelmi told the publication.

“I couldn’t have felt more supported by my work family at Seven and am so grateful for the grace they have given me, especially during the Commonwealth Games.
“The last few months have been very busy for us and we are excited about what lies ahead.”
In May, Gelmi revealed she was building her dream home from the ground up, sharing the news on her Instagram Stories.
“Love it so much,” she wrote in a caption, alongside a photo gallery.

Abbey first sparked rumors that she was dating the recently retired Richmond star, 30, in May last year.
The couple reportedly attended Sam Mac’s Melbourne book launch together at the time, and were introduced by Love Island’s Tayla Damir, who is dating Kane’s Richmond bandmate Nathan Broad.
The Daily Telegraph reported that the couple started dating after Abbey moved from Melbourne to Sydney.

Their relationship comes after her marriage to Sky Racing presenter Ben Way broke down.
Abbey and Ben tied the knot in late 2019 after three years together and split in 2020.
Ben popped the question to North Bondi and Abbey shared photos of the proposal at the time, saying: “A thousand times yes.”
