Aaron Ramsey played the man of the match as Juventus defeated Inter 2-0 to lead Serie A on Sunday.
The former Arsenal midfielder scored and recorded an assist for a decisive victory for Maurizio Sarri.
Ramsey scored the first goal in the 54th minute by crushing center Blaise Matuidi, fired by Cristiano Ronaldo.
And he was again involved by switching to Paulo Dybala, who doubled Juventus’ lead with superb talent 13 minutes later.
The result allowed Juve to overtake Lazio in first place as she aims to win a ninth consecutive high-level title in Italy.
It is also the first time that Ramsey has completed 90 minutes for Juventus.
The 29-year-old has struggled with fitness and form since joining a free transfer from Arsenal last summer.
This led him to be linked to a summer outing from Turin, Manchester United being presented as a possible destination.
However, Ramsey seems to still have a future with Juve, as Sarri has noticed an improvement in his physical condition.
“He maintains that he needs to see more ground in front of him, otherwise he gets lost a bit,” he said.
“He is doing well in this role, but in all honesty, he is also in much better physical condition now than he was when he played as a trequartista. [an attacking midfielder].
“I was about to present Dybala a minute before we scored with Ramsey, but I decided to put it anyway because I felt it was the moment when we could finish the match.”
Cristiano Ronaldo, who scored 53 goals for Juve, played his 1,000th career game, but no fan was there to witness it.
The game was played behind closed doors, the Italian government banning fans from participating in sporting events until April 3 in an attempt to fight the coronavirus epidemic.
Italy is the most affected European country with more than 7,000 people infected with the deadly disease, which kills more than 350.
