The CFFC middleweight champion says there are plenty of people in St. Catharines from 2010-2014 who saw a whole different side of him on a semi-regular basis.
“I think I was probably an idiot and just talking and whatever,” laughs Jeffery.

Luckily, the Jeffery who threw himself into bars and parties at Brock University wasn’t the 10-3 animal he is today. Jeffery explains that long before holding CFFC gold and making two appearances on Dana White’s Contender Series, he had a student fight record.
“I would say I probably have a .500 record,” Jeffery said. “I think some fights are probably unscorable. I know my buddies have a funny story. Once there was like a dormitory, a place called Village. These are all houses with college students and I was arguing with a guy and we both fell over and we were both sitting on our ass in front of each other punching each other in the face. Lots of no contests.
Very few people alive have a street fighting record comparable to Tank Abbott’s, but it’s fun to imagine a world where the disciplined mixed martial artist gets beaten up by someone away from any sort of gym of combat sports. But college is a crazy time.
Never one to let a fun time pass without papers, Jeffery used to keep photos of particularly serious injuries sustained in fights that he paid to remember.
