Android 12 is almost available on all eligible Nokia smartphones and now is the time for Nokia Mobile to start bringing the next major OS update to its portfolio. Since Jho Sarvikas left the company, the roadmap for the Android OS has not been released, so the arrival of subsequent versions of the OS was pretty much unknown.
Nokia phones running Android 13 have appeared on Geekbench, and now it looks like the official update has finally been released. The first devices to get it are Nokia X20 and Nokia X10. Updates for these phones are now available in Finland, and probably in other markets.
The release that brings Android 13 is V3.360 which is 2.26 GB in size. The November security patch is included in the release.
I checked the G60 and X30 but the update is not yet available for those models, or just not for the phones I use at home…
Thank you to everyone who tipped. Check your X series devices and get Android 13. Report if it is available and how the phone is performing.
If you can’t wait for the update to go through the official OTA method, there are some tricks to load it, but I don’t recommend doing that because there’s still a high chance of locking the device. The risk is yours and keep that in mind. The link for sideloading is here.
