Love Island’s Katie Salmon has revealed her battle with postnatal depression.
In a new interview, the reality star, 26, said she has been struggling for the past few months following the birth of her six-month-old daughter Thaiga.
She also shared her heartache, saying that Thaiga had recently been diagnosed with a hemangioma tumor.

Katie told The Sun on Friday: “The truth is I’ve been dealing with the severe baby blues and I can only say that being a mother has been one of the toughest challenges I’ve ever had to face. in my life.”
Katie said her mental health had suffered so much in recent months that she was “anxious” leaving the house.
Speaking about her daughter’s tumour, Katie said it had grown to the size of a “fist”, but was receiving medical treatment and would likely have disappeared before her first birthday.
“He grew exceptionally large from when she was three weeks old to about the size of a fist on the side of her face. It was affecting her eyesight because she couldn’t really see out of one eye,” Katie said.

She also revealed that she and Harry were still together, but were taking a little break to focus on their mental health.
“Our relationship isn’t perfect, but please be kind because we’ve been through a lot,” Katie added.
She then congratulated her fiancé and said that as a family they would “get through this”, with the couple determined to put their daughter first.

The Love Island star – who shot to fame in the show’s second season in 2016 and made history as one half of the show’s first same-sex couple with the late Sophie Gradon – has shocked her Instagram followers by deleting all photos of Harry.
The new mum then took to her social media to say she had ‘settled for a lot less’ than she deserved.
Katie, who got engaged to Harry last December, deleted snaps from the couple’s gender reveal party before their daughter Thaiga was born, along with a gushing tribute to her former boyfriend on her birthday .

Taking to her Instagram Stories, she cryptically wrote, “Everything has changed for me since having my baby girl. It was one of the most beautiful and hardest trips.
“I didn’t know that I had the capacity in me to go through everything I have this year. Women are superheroes idgaf [I don’t give a f***] The reward is his precious smile and his health”.
She continued in the lengthy post, “I’ve settled for way less than I deserve from so many people because I never really respected who I was or what my value is.”
“My loyalty, love and energy are unmatched. The change has been intense but so eye-opening. I had to mourn someone who once was and allow the new me in.
‘If you can’t respect my growth, then you don’t deserve to be at our table. The changes ahead for me are exciting, so if your difficulties know that, as painful as they are, they are really there to help you evolve ‘ [sic].
She later posted, “Love to see people recover from messed up situations and end up getting the success, love and happiness they deserve.”

Katie previously shared a slew of snaps on Instagram to announce the birth of her daughter, including one of her baby girl and photos from the birth, where she sported tiger-striped fingernails as a tribute to her newborn’s unique name .
Captioning the poignant footage, she wrote that she had been caught in her baby bubble but decided to break the news on Mother’s Day.
Katie wrote: ‘Am officially a mum!!!! I’ve been spending time in my baby bubble, but thought today would be the best day to let you know.
“We welcomed our beautiful baby girl into this magical world. Thaiga Dean (pronounced Tiger).
“I never thought I could feel like this, I’m completely in love and thought I had everything in life until she came. My life is full.’
She also thanked NHS staff for their help, Harry for being her ‘rock’ and her friends and family for their support throughout the process.
