The Brooklyn Public Library on Tuesday opened its collection of vinyl records for rental to library patrons.
Cardholders can now borrow from the 400-disc collection, which includes a range of genres.
The vinyl library is equipped with a listening station and turntables for the use of visitors.
Madison and Ava are two 12-year-old girls who said the new vinyl library helps them learn all about new music.
“When I saw Billie Eilish and [A$AP Rocky], I knew those things,” Madison said. “But when I saw the other record players and Bob Marley, it made me more excited to listen to him because I had never listened to him before.”
The documents are now available, and staff say the collection isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.
