Herford scored 17 points in a win over Memphis on Tuesday night (December 13).

“Offensively, she’s stepping up and putting in great numbers for our team,” Lakers coach Jessica Bruce said. “She’s a great team leader and does so much for the morale of our team. She’s positive and encouraging which is very helpful with our young team. She’s starting to find her rhythm and understand her role and her value in the team, which will help him to continue improving throughout the season.”

“Trust is key,” Bruce added. “She has the ability, now she has to be confident every time she steps on the floor.”

Werschky scored 15 points in a loss to Marlette on Monday night, Dec. 12.

“Riley gets the shot reps every practice,” Patriots coach Chuck Arnold said. “She does this so that when she comes into the game, she has the confidence to shoot. We also talk about the shooter mentality. It’s thinking about the next shot, instead of dwelling on the miss. She understood this concept very well, and she is ready to strike the big blow when we need it.”

Cuthrell scored 15 points in a win over Millington on Tuesday night, Dec. 13.

“Saylar has the ball in his hands a lot for us,” Red Hawks coach Justin Ketterer said. “She makes a lot of decisions on the pitch for us. She made some great decisions against Millington, and she will use those moments in this game to keep pushing forward.”

Krueger scored 14 points in a win over Millington on Tuesday night, Dec. 13.

“Olivia is a bit different from Saylar, in that she scouts, looks to score the ball,” Ketterer said. “She can pull the lights off and fill it up fast. She’s also made a few trips to the basket, which she’s expanded her game with, and has come a long way.”

“Hopefully that confidence will continue as the season progresses,” added Ketterer. “She can be a real threat to the defenses we face.”
