Vision Pro Helmet

Price: starting at $3,499

The Apple Vision Pro is a virtual reality headset that claims to help you organize your apps, immerse yourself in entertainment, and see your photos and videos with renewed depth. Tyler Hall, VP of Technology at Empathy First Media, has spent years evaluating the latest technology products. Hall said the Apple Vision Pro wasn’t worth the high price.

“At nearly $4,000, this product currently only serves as an entry product for developers to sculpt the VR platform before it’s worth jumping in as a general consumer,” Hall said . “This isn’t the last headset they’re going to release, but it’s definitely not aimed at the public at the moment. It is best to wait for the next version of the headset before considering a product of this type.

Reviewers cite bugs and poor battery life among customer disappointments with the VR headset. Customers also complain that the Apple Vision Pro is too heavy for prolonged use.

AirPods

Price: From $169

If someone owns an iPhone, they probably spend a lot of time with AirPods. However, some customers are not satisfied with the performance. Erin Lawrence, professional tech reviewer at Tech Gadgets International, detailed her experience with AirPods in a video review.

“In my own experience, I have had constant, ongoing issues with mine that are incredibly frustrating,” Lawrence said. “Mine just stopped working. A pod will disconnect, requiring a factory reset to repair. I also experienced crackling or static sound while using it.

Lawrence’s video has over 150,000 views with comments from equally dissatisfied customers. Looking for a solution to her problem, Lawrence was once again disappointed.

“Even though in some cases Apple replaces potentially defective AirPods, mine were out of warranty so I had to replace them. I ended up having to replace the left and right modules at my own expense. said Laurent.

Technical accessories

Price: varies

So you’ve spent hundreds of dollars on a new iPhone and now you’re looking at accessories. Since virtually everything, including the charger, is separate from the phone, you might think that you need to purchase the accessories to make the phone work at its best. This is not entirely true. You don’t need to buy every accessory for your Apple product for it to reach its full potential.

“Apple is known for its overpriced accessories,” Hall said. “A notable example can be seen in the ‘Apple Mac Pro Wheels Kit,’ which are just wheels for your Mac, priced at $699.99.”

Hall said that if you buy extra bells and whistles for your phone, you can find accessories at a better price elsewhere.

“Apple offers high quality products; However, there are third-party alternatives available for accessories for your Apple devices, including reputable sellers like Anker, OtterBox, or Spigen. They sell cables, cases, batteries, speakers, etc. at a fraction of the price Apple offers them,” Hall said.

Technical cases

Price: varies

When you’re in the Apple Store and have purchased a new product, you might be tempted to buy the case right away. You might want to think twice.

Sam Devia of eRepair said that Apple device cases are a waste of money.

“In my opinion, the silicone and finely woven cases sold by Apple are not worth it. For an absurd price of $50-$60, they offer little to no drop protection and wear out quite easily,” Devia said.

You can also rely on third-party sellers to offer you better cases at a lower cost.

Any model with little storage

Price: varies

One way to reduce the cost of your Apple products is to buy the model with the lowest storage capacity. However, Hall said it’s better to splurge on a device with more storage.

“As the size of the data we consume and store increases, this basic storage can become insufficient and fill up quite quickly,” Hall said. “If you can initially invest in storage upgrades, we recommend purchasing these over the base devices, as Apple products cannot be upgraded like PCs or Android phones. The reality is that when you run out of space on your devices, you only have two options: (1) buy cloud storage or (2) upgrade the entire device.

So, investing in a device with more storage saves you money over time.
