The 2024 NFL Draft is officially here! The first round kicked off Thursday evening and the action continues through Saturday as 257 young men hear their names as professional soccer players.
Thursday evening, the first choices went as planned before things start to go off the rails. By far, the biggest surprise of the first round was the Atlanta Falcons’ selection of Michael Penix Jr. with the eighth overall pick despite recently signing Kirk Cousins to a four-year, $180 million contract. Another huge surprise was the selection of six quarterbacks in the first round (an NFL record) and the first 14 picks going to offensive players (another record).
While the first round is in the books, we still have two days of preliminary coverage ahead of us. Here’s everything you need to know about the next two days of the 2024 NFL Draft:
When is the draft?
The 2024 NFL Draft will take place April 25-27. Specific departure times (Eastern) for the next two days are as follows:
- Friday April 26: Rounds 2-3 (7 p.m.)
- Saturday April 27: Rounds 4 to 7 (12h)
Where is the project?
The 2024 NFL Draft will take place at Campus Martius Park and Hart Plaza in Detroit.
How to watch
The 2024 NFL Draft will air on ESPN, ABC and NFL Network. It will also be streamed live on Fubo. CBS Sports HQ, the 24/7 CBS Sports streaming network, will also provide coverage before, during and after the event.
